Unpack [sonnet]
Before you move with me into this space
I need to know how serious you are.
You bring these boxes with you every place
And I’m not sure if those can go so far.
Will you unpack those boxes full of scars
Before we move into this space with doubt?
I want to take our place among the stars
And never leave a trace of pain about
When we move in and history is done
When our lives link and you say yes to me
When Sunday comes and we unite as one
No soul can break the bonds of us and we.
When Sunday comes, you’ll know where you reside
No cluttered memories, just hallowed pride.
